#13 CULTURE WAR
EDITION 4/4
The thirteenth KLAYRock : EXPERIMENTS collection aims to dissect and visualize the current war of cultures that can be seen across most topics of discourse - from politics and society to film and pop culture.
Before the mass adoption of the Internet and online services, the way we saw the world, what we watched, what we listened to - was mostly influenced by the people around us; friends, family and acquaintances. Our friends shared their favorite movies. with us, family members discussed their thoughts on the world - those were rather insulated times.
Today, we are bombarded every day, via the Television, Internet and peers on how we should think and act, what we should watch and shouldn’t watch - most of the time, not out of genuine relatability but rather to fulfill varying societal and political narratives. This has ignited a global culture war of “my ideas are better.” Gone are the days when you could listen to both sides of an argument to make an informed decision - it’s either pick a side or be exempt.
