The eighth KLAYRock : EXPERIMENTS collection is an exploration of the subconscious and our inner-selves, visualizing themes associated with self-reflection, emotion and identity through 10 unique, digitally hand painted editions.
Who am I? Why am I the way I am? What’s my purpose?
These are questions that we have asked ourselves since the beginning of history, and despite never finding concrete answers, we continue to dive deeper, trying to find meaning and resolution through self-exploration.
As individuals, we all come from different walks of life - some were born into wealth and many were not, some enjoy the company of others and some do not - the way we, as individuals, experience things is unique to one’s self, dependent on how prior life data has forged one’s view of the world and self.
This diversity of experiences goes even further, as an individual can experience the same situation multiple times and feel different each time, dependent on a multitude of factors - time of day, who they’re with, whether or not they’ve had breakfast.
Every individual carries with them multiple personalities and identities - each one brought out to the surface when one deems appropriate; work, friends, online communities… each of us carry multiple PORTRAITS of who we are, who we strive to be and who we don’t want to be and sometimes, it gets confusing, but that’s OK - we’re only human.

From a visual standpoint, the IN MY HEAD - PORTRAITS collection is an exercise in the uncanny valley, forging ultra-realistic proportions and materials, together with sci-fi elements to create an aesthetically arresting group of portraits, each representing the multiple personalities and identities that we carry with us every moment of the day - although there is only myself, there are many within.
Each edition combines hyper-detailed PBR digital sculptures, with digitally hand painted elements.
Although leveraging the same facial structure, each edition has been uniquely hand-crafted, visualizing our ability to change between multiple personality traits and identities.
The unique traits seen in each portrait are a product of digital hand painting and manually created patterns, resulting in stunningly bold visuals - emphasizing the sci-fi elements that were infused into the collection; because - although we all strive to remain genuine in every situation, sometimes you can’t but help feel like a cyborg, reacting automatically, almost like as if you’re running off a set of parameters (and technically we all are - experiential historical data).
